Dr. Aran Castro A J — Short Bio (≈200 words) Dr. Aran Castro A J is a GIS Manager and research consultant based in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Geology with a research focus on coastal geomorphology, shoreline change analysis, and remote sensing applications across the southeast Indian coast. He is the founder of Geospatial Campus, a small studio that runs three streams of work: hands-on GIS and remote sensing training for students and faculty, end-to-end research support for PhD scholars publishing in Scopus and SCI journals, and consulting engagements for institutions that need decision-grade coastal, hydrological, and land-use mapping. Geospatial Campus is registered as an MSME unit (Udyam TN-09-0048222). Dr. Castro is the author of three books — Mapping Peace, Systems Over Software, and Coastal Geomorphology — and a frequent invited speaker and resource person at universities across South India, including the University of Madras, Holy Cross College, Stella Mary's College, EASA College, and Kangeyam Institute of Technology. He sits on the academic Board of Studies at Holy Cross College, Nagercoil. He works in person from Nagercoil and remotely from Kochi and Chennai through partner campuses, and serves clients across India in coastal vulnerability, LULC change detection, and PhD-level publication support.
